Guidelines for non-member players

Dear Player,
We are pleased to welcome you at the Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club and hope you will enjoy playing our course which is one of the oldest golf club in Europe.
The Club offers driving range, pitching green, putting green, Caddy-Master, bar and restaurant, Pro- Shop and a Library.

Please allow us to draw your attention to the Rules for the use of our facilities, which are exactly the same applied to our members. We kindly ask to put them into practice.
Our staff will be very pleased to attend you at all times.

GUIDELINES

On the golf course

The player has to be at the first tee 5 minutes before his/her starting time. If the player arrives after his/her starting time he/she will not be allowed to start and will not be entitled to a refund.
Maximum handicaps allowed for playing on the course is 54, both for men and women. It is compulsory for players to present at the Secreterial Office their membership card or handicap certificate. Otherwise they will not be allowed to play.
Pace of Play: The maximum time to play the 18 holes is 4.30 hours.
Players will have to comply with the Rules of Etiquette in force and especially with the following:
1. Repair pitch marks, replace divots and rake bunkers before moving on.
2. Give way if distance has been lost.
3. Wear appropriate attire. It is forbidden to wear swimming trunks, tennis shorts or blue jeans and T-shirts.
When the use of golf carts is allowed, they may be driven through the fairways. We kindly ask our visitors to stay on the rough and on the paths and to respect all signs on the course.
Players are not allowed to go on the tees and between bunkers and the greens with hand or
electric trolleys.

Marshalls have been instructed to warn players the first time they break any of the above mentioned rules. If it happens a second time, they are entitled to ask the player to leave the course. Green fees paid by players under these circumstances will not be refunded.

Pin positions

The 18 greens of the Course are shown on score cards which are divided into 4 different zones numbered 1, 2, 3, 4. They indicate where pins are located each day.
A notice is displayed at the starter’s hut for the front nine holes and on Tee n. 10 for the back nine holes, showing which of the pin positions is applied that day

Club House

We kindly ask non-members to follow the usual Etiquette Rules:

Attire
It is prohibited to wear swimming trunks or costumes, T-shirts or wearing no shirt.
It is asked to wear an appropriate attire in the Club House (Blue jeans are not welcome).

Golf Bags
Guests are kindly asked to leave their golf bags in the Bag drop area in front of the Pro-shop and not in the Patio area.

Children
Children of any age are allowed in the Club House under the strict surveillance of an adult. An appropriate and educated attitude is required in order to respect other guests and players.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed in the patio and also inside the Clubhouse.
Please keep dogs on a leash inside all the property.
It is severely prohibited to let dogs sit on chairs, couches and cushions.
Dogs’ owners are recommended to have bags in order to collect their friends’ dejections.
Water bowls are at their service in the restaurant.
Menaggio loves dogs, but we kindly ask owners to pay close attention to the peaceful and
silent atmosphere of the Club.

Responsabilities
The Golf Club is not responsible for any item left unattended.
Please bring your valuables with you on the course and in the Club House.
